Happy New Year! I hope you all enjoyed a fabulous Christmas and New Years break with friends and family. We recently returned from a lovely holiday on the Gold Coast visiting some of hubster’s family and catching up with old friends. It really was a fantastic holiday with highlights including Mr 3 giving his little cousin lots of cuddles and snuggling up to her on the couch (aaawwww), hubster and I getting some “date time” together and a delightful camping side trip up in the Amamoor State Forest.
After returning home on Saturday, yesterday was spent pottering around the house getting unpacked and organised, doing the food shop and tidying up the gardens. All of those bits and pieces that need doing after an extended period on holiday. Plus have some nice catch up chats with our lovely neighbours.
So, what’s in store for 2017? Well, there’s a few exciting things going on here at Mushiyaki Sews HQ. Firstly, you can now get your Mushiyaki Sews fix at Grounded Days. Yay, new stockist!! Grounded Days is a funky little coffee shop with a retail space supporting local small businesses – sweet. You can find them pepping up your day with caffeine from 7am at 21 North Street, Swanbourne. Check out the amazing wares on offer while you get your food and coffee requirements sorted…
For those that may not have heard, our fabulous pop up shop, SEWLAB&Co has now come to the completion of its retail adventures. Thanks to everyone that supported SEWLAB&Co and the eclectic mix of local makers that formed the shop during 2016. Much appreciated!
Moving onto more personal updates, I am now 33 weeks pregnant!! Wowsers, time flies… Baby number 2 is due on the 26th of February. Given that is only seven weeks away, in addition to having a few other family matters to focus on at this time, I’ll be concentrating on keeping the stock levels refreshed at Grounded Days and streamlining online purchasing for Mushiyaki Sews items, so it is unlikely I’ll be attending anymore markets prior to bub arriving. And after, well, who knows really!! I will definitely be taking maternity leave for the first four weeks postpartum and I will keep everyone informed as we go along after that time.
Phew. So there are a few things happening around here at the moment… How about you? What does 2017 have in store? Please let us all know in the comments below xx
