I consider myself very lucky to be able to stay at home with Mr 3 whilst also working at building up Mushiyaki Sews. I have always loved creative pursuits and now I have the opportunity to put a business slant on my creative skills.
Its not all fun and games though. One of the trickiest things about being a WAHM (work at home Mum if you hadn’t heard that one before…) is striking a balance between business development, creating and spending quality time with Mr 3. Funnily enough, Mr 3 isn’t super excited about his best mate (i.e. moi!) doing business/creative activities that don’t involve us being partners in crime. Ever since Mr 3 stopped having daytime naps, my available time to achieve these things has lessened dramatically. When you’re a WAHM, there is an ever changing work landscape depending on the development of your child/children. Its like being constantly re-structured, thankfully without the possibility of losing your job!
On the plus side, I get to hang out with Mr 3 and try and see the world through his excited and wonder filled eyes. How quickly we forget that “everyday” things can seem amazing to the young! And of course, when I can snatch some time, I get to indulge my creative passions.
Are you a WAHM? How do you manage your time?
